What You’ll Experience

This hands-on internship is your chance to dive into the world of biomedical engineering and medical device development. Over the course of 8 weeks, you’ll work alongside our expert team to:

• Develop Medical Devices: Contribute to real projects that improve lives through innovative healthcare solutions.
• Master CAD Design: Learn and apply computer-aided design (CAD) skills to create 3D models of medical devices.
• Create Video Animations: Bring designs to life with dynamic animations that showcase functionality and purpose.
• Develop Quality Assurance Protocols: Explore how to ensure medical devices meet rigorous safety and performance standards through testing and documentation.
• Explore Leadership (Optional): Participate in a Christian faith-based leadership development mentorship to grow personally and professionally.

Located in Redding, CA, this program offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience, build your skills, and connect with mentors in a supportive, creative environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking motivated students with a strong interest in STEM and a curiosity about biomedical engineering who reside in Shasta County. CAD experience is preferred—but a hunger to learn, collaborate, and innovate is most important!

Program Details

• Duration: 8 weeks, Summer 2025 (June 9, 2025- August 8, 2025)
• Location: Remote/Shasta High School, Redding, CA
• Focus Areas: Medical device development, CAD design, video animations, web design, QA protocol development, and optional faith-based leadership training. 
• Eligibility: Current highschool and college students residing in Shasta County enrolled in or passionate about STEM
